“It is said that the fairies listen to the wishes of those who let themselves be entranced by the mysteries of the Foresta-Lumina. What is your wish?” – MOMENT FACTORY
A real life enchanted forest was created by Moment Factory in Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook, Quebec, Canada, an area known for its wintertime skiing. Is Foresta Lumina lighting and magic or is it great design and planning? Come learn about the design process behind the experience from the Moment Factory principals, Amahl Hazelton and Johanna Marsal, and how they and their team helped the local Chamber of Commerce create a summertime tourist attraction. Amahl Hazelton is a professional urban planner (McGill, 2005) and is an urban strategist & producer for Moment Factory. He works early in a project’s development stages to conceive strategic architectural and urban scale experiential design approaches, structuring the multidisciplinary teams required to deliver many of Moment Factory’s major permanent public multimedia installations.
